Attention songwriters! As wonderful as writing a song is, it takes WAY more than just writing music or lyrics with friends/producers to be on a professional level. You have to protect yourself with copyrights, register your materials with unions, and be knowledgeable on licensing. I see too many people that consider themselves “writers” become lost because of a lack of insight and experience.
